About Us

Jack Lawlor (Co-Founder)

Coming into Georgia Tech out-of-state, Jack quickly found his home amongst his fraternity (Tau Kappa Epsilon: Beta Pi Chapter), major (George W. Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering), and intramurals (Flag football, basketball). A keen interest in playing sports and supporting his university’s athletics attracted Jack to this Senior Design project. His out-of-the-box thinking shows in his CAD work at the forefront of ProTECH product design and his background in IP helped get the company’s patent-pending invention filed by the USPTO.

Matthew Connelly (Co-Founder)

As our sole Georgia native, Matthew has always viewed Georgia Tech as the end goal beyond grade school. Balancing the duties of a collegiate athlete is never easy, but the now graduate student of GT has found the time to explore his passion in Mechanical Engineering as well as continue his decorative hockey career as the 3-year captain of the Georgia Tech hockey team. Matthew’s interest in working with Georgia Tech Athletics for his Capstone project almost made too much sense given his background. His hours of lab work prowess ensure that ProTECH has a reliable product of the highest quality. As a graduate student with a focus on robotics, he seeks to incorporate his expertise into future ProTECH [advanced technology] products.

Andre Roevens (Co-Founder)

The pride of New Orleans, Andre Roevens, fell in love with the city of Atlanta the moment he stepped foot on Georgia Tech’s campus. Now a primary residence of the city, Andre aspires to expand renewable energy generation across the country to help reduce carbon emissions as a Project Engineer for Velo Solar. His passion for creating a better, greener planet can only be equaled by his passion for Georgia Tech sports. As a lifelong athlete and sports fan, Andre welcomed the opportunity to work alongside Matthew and Jack during his Senior Design course to close out his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree at Tech. While he has proven his skills with Thermal, Fluid, and Energy Systems, one of Andre’s primary roles in Camera ProTECH revolves around the day-to-day business operations. A business-savvy thinker, Andre relished the opportunity to work outside of his comfort zone and expand his financial knowledge.

Ashlyn Goolsby (Sales and Marketing Manager) and Doug Allvine (Advisor)

Doug Allvine, former Georgia Tech Assistant Athletic Director, lives and bleeds White and Gold. As a former Tech Alum, Doug has given countless years of his life back to his alma mater with his most notable achievement in the GTAA Ventures Investment Fund. This fund provided support to Tech student-led start-ups and used its resources alongside CREATE-X, another Georgia Tech initiative led by Chris Klaus, to breed entrepreneurial confidence and eventually help launch successful start-ups.

Ashlyn Goolsby, Sales and Marketing Manager, proudly represents the Georgia Tech Women’s Volleyball team as she completes her degree at the Scheller College of Business. A recent addition to the Camera ProTECH team, Ashlyn was fascinated by the company’s initial prototype and from her personal experience, she truly believes that every volleyball club, team, and court can utilize this novel product. While she hopes to help the start-up grow and expand, Ashlyn seeks to gain valuable experience that she can apply in the classroom and to future career endeavors. Her main role consists of the business management and operations as well as driving the company’s participation sales and marketing endeavors.
